The new$24 million, 272-unit apartment community is located at 3301 North Elm Ave. in Broken Arrow.  It also features an elevator, a vegetable garden, a fishing pond, a dog park and more, said Ed Leinbach, founder of Tulsa-based Leinbach Co.

Keyless entry for all apartments is just one unusual feature of Crown Village at Elm Ridge.“I always try to add a little something extra to each of my developments,” he said.

Crown Village at Elm Ridge now has 100 of its units finished, with the rest to follow by Thanksgiving.

Though it’s only been open for six weeks and weather delays pushed the opening to the fall — which Leinbach said isn’t a prime time of the year for apartment moves — the available units are filling up quickly.  “The reception has been phenomenal,” Leinbach said. “We’ve been leasing to 75 percent of the people who come through the door.”

Key Fobs are very Popular

Leinbach said Crown Village’s main selling point has turned out to be keyless entry. Each apartment is accessed via a key fob that can also be used to open the apartment’s gate and gain access to the gym, pool and other areas.  The fobs and locks can be instantly cleared or paired with a different door, which eliminates the need to physically change the locks after tenants move out, and it makes it easier for residents who lose their fobs.

Additionally, the doors track the last 2,000 entries, making it easy to show when people had access to the apartment, Leinbach said.

In addition to a pool and a pickleball court, the courtyard of Crown Village also sports a vegetable garden. Leinbach said there’s 15 four- by five-foot plots that residents can use as they wish.
